First Burn = Most Important

The first burn sets the memory of your candle. If you blow it out too soon, it’ll tunnel (and that’s a great loss of wax). Let the entire top layer melt before you snuff it out—this usually takes 1-2 hours for smaller candles, 3-4 for larger ones.

Please Trim Your Wick

Overgrown wicks = bigger flames, faster burn, wasted candle, and possibly summoning a fire demon. Before every burn, trim your wick to 5mm (yes, every time). This keeps the flame clean, steady, and stops it from turning into a chaotic, sooty mess.

small acts, big impact

Burn Smart, Do These Things

  • NEVER leave a burning candle unattended. Unless you enjoy explaining things to firefighters.
  • Keep candles away from drafts, pets, and people who talk with their hands.
  • Burn for a max of 4 hours at a time to avoid overheating the glass and cracking it.
  • Got wax memory troubles? Not a problem. If your candle starts tunneling, hit it with a heat gun or foil trick (Google it, it's life-changing).

last but not least

Avoid the Last-Wax Struggle

When there’s 1cm of wax left, it’s time to say goodbye. Burning a candle to the bitter end overheats the container and might turn your relaxed mood into chaos.

Feeling creative? Repurpose the jar. Fill it with jewelry, coins, or tiny notes to your future self. How? Pop it in the freezer for a few hours, then remove the leftover wax. Or pour in boiling water, let the wax float to the top, and scrape it out.

The Ultimate DOs & DON’Ts

DO let your candle burn evenly.

Why? The first burn sets the memory of the wax. If you blow it out too soon, it creates a tunnel, wasting wax and your hard-earned money.

DO trim the wick for a cleaner, longer-lasting burn.

Why? A long wick = big, wild flames, unnecessary smoke, and soot buildup. A trimmed wick keeps things controlled and extends burn time.

DO keep it out of reach of cats, dogs, and toddlers with questionable decision-making skills.

Why? Because they don’t understand fire safety and will absolutely knock it over or try to eat it.

DO store it like it deserves some respect

Why? Candles hate sunlight and heat—they’ll sweat, fade, and melt into a sad little puddle. Keep them in a cool, dark place (and no, your car in summer is not an option).

DON’T burn your candle for more than 4 hours.

Why? The jar can overheat, crack, or turn your relaxing evening into an episode of "why did I do that?". Even worse, you might come back blaming me...

DON’T leave your candle unattended (unless you enjoy chaos).

Why? Fires spread fast, and while your candle may smell great, your furniture burning does not.

DON’T try to relight the wick if it’s buried in wax—just melt the top layer and rescue it.

Why? Digging it out damages the wick and messes up the burn. Instead, melt the top layer with a heat gun or hairdryer and let the wick breathe again.
